No Line Ink Pad

No-Line ink Pad

The No-line ink  pad can be used in conjunction with our stencils and stamps like normal ink. It acts as a great guide for when you are colouring. The colour of the No line ink will dissipate as you colour on top. Therefore it won’t give any harsh lines giving the end result a softer appearance. As if you had hand drawn the image!

A few helpful tips when using the No-line ink:

  • Once you have inked/stamped with the No-line, make sure to leave it to dry. As a rule if you colour on top straight away using water colours it has a tendency to bleed if the ink is still wet.(We try and leave ours a few hours or will even stamp up the day before if we are attending shows).
  • If you are using a blending brush to ink through a stencil with the No-line ink pads. Make sure to keep it separate one from the other brushes so that it does not get contaminated and affect your results.
  • If you are water colouring on top of the No-line, make sure to use a good quality watercolour card…. We use Bockingford Hot Press which is subject to availability on the website.
  • If you are water colouring on top make sure not to overflood your water brush… dip it in the water then dab it off till it is almost dry, this will give you more control over your watercolour pens.
  • If you struggle to watercolour using a water brush, then we have Zig Blender Brushes. Which are subject to availability on the website. t You can use in a similar way and will give you more control over where your ink is going.
  • When stamping with No-line ink pad make sure to use a stamp press. As you will need to stamp at least 2-3 times until you can see the image. A little tape along with your magnets will also help keep your card in place.
